cote-du-rhone-charles-de-valois-rouge This special Cuvée was created in 1971, Thinking it was a shame to blend the grapes issued from old vines (average age 80 years), this Cuvée was born. Having a look in official papers dated back to 1826, the name of DE VALOIS, an ancestor of the JAUME family was found and this spécial Cuvée was named after it.
Grape varieties 90% Grenache, 6% Syrah and 4% Mourvèdre
Production 120 Hl to 150 Hl (depending on the vintage)

Shallow and very stony
Age of the vines From 70 to 80 years
Tasting Those vines bear very little fruit, which allows for highly concentrated quality. This Cuvée is very characteristic of the main grape variety. Spicy and peperry with flavours of bay leaf and cherries. This elegant wine will accompany your meat dishes and tasty cheeses. Serve it at room temperature.
