The Domaine des Chanssaud is a family estate, belonging to the Jaume family since 1826, with a permanent care for the quality, the respect of the Tradition and although for the innovation. The rules regarding the A.O.C. impose the planted grape-varieties and give the guarantee of a local specific taste and a wine with character.

Grenache 60%, Syrah 20%, Mourvèdre 20%
Vinification
The grapes are entirely destemmed and sent to ferment in large concrete tanks, A lot of pumping-over is done to extract the maximum of aromas and tannins. The fermentation lasts about 10-15 days with carefully controlled temperatures (28° to 30°). When the fermentation comes to an end, the wine is settled, clarified, filtered and estate bottled the next spring.
Tasting
This full-bodied wine with ruby colour combines the suppleness of the Syrah and the Mourvèdre with the body of the grenache. It has spicy and peppery flavours. In mouth the main taste is Cherries, and the good-balanced rounded tannins give a good length in mouth.

This wine will pleasantly accompany your red meats and various cheese. The right temperature is room temperature, around 18° to 20°.
