This special Cuvée produced in small quantity, comes from a very strict selection of vineyards located on the highest plateau of Châteauneuf du Pape. It is produced only with the very good vintages and put in numbered bottles. |

Appellation

In the XIVth century the Pope in Avignon developed the vineyard and in 1935 the CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE vineyard became Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. Worldwide famous wine, particularly for its «red», its rounded pebbles soil is the guarantee for constant quality. |

Vinification
|
In order to emphasize all the richness of this low yield harvest the vinification is made as our ancestors applied it : the grapes are not destemmed. The vatting time is long (about a month) and the ageing lasts about 24 months. |

This wine, rich and powerful, is spicy and peppery with flavours of leather and truffle, Its aromatic complexity suits perfectly with rustic tannins, which bring it length in mouth. |

This exceptional wine will be appreciated with your meat dishes, game, duck, turkey and tasty cheese. The right temperature is room temperature, around 18° to 20°. |
