• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2005 - 88 points
The dark ruby 2005 Châteauneuf-du-Pape exhibits a sweet nose of seaweed, black cherry jam, tar, and loamy soil notes. It is medium to full-bodied, with lovely ripe tannin and decent acidity. Drink it over the next decade."
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape " Chanssaud d'Antan" - 90 points
« The outstanding 2005 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Chanssaud d' Antan has a deep ruby purple color and a big, spicy, cedary, tobacoo leaf-scented nose with copious quantities of kirsch and raspberry. The wine is spicy, robust, rich, with outstanding density, purity and length. It should drink well for 10-15 years. |

• Dom des Chanssaud Chanssaud d'Antan 2006 Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge 18.5/20
Drink 2012-28 Dark crimson. Heady black cherry jam nose. Very sweet but with real race too. Lively! A lovely whole. Great vivacity and completeness. Such weight of fruit you feel you could drink it straight away even though Im sure it will age beautifully. 90 year-old vines, 90% Grenache and a 28 day vinification.
• Dom des Chanssaud 2006 Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge "17.5/20 "
Blackish crimson. Animal, savoury notes. Intense. Pure pleasure juicy Grenache within a bit of a framework. Garrigue and excellent balance. A classic Châteauneuf. Eloquent and expressive."
• Dom des Chanssaud 2006 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc 16.5/20
Drink 2008-11"Pale straw. Full and rich and harmonious with real depth. Honey and glue with enough acidity. An interesting and pungent alternative to white burgundy."

• Châteauneuf-du-pape Rouge « Chanssaud d’Antan » 2003 - 86/100
« Garnet colour, slightly evolved. Broad nose of jammed fruit and earthy notes. First the mouth is smooth, well balanced, the evolution very aromatic and the final note slightly firm. A full Châteauneuf-du-Pape in a traditional style.”
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Chanssaud d’Antan 2001 - 86/100
« Pleasant garnet colour. Nose of red and black fruit with a hint of pepper and spices. The mouth is smooth and delivers aromas of fruit, spices and guarrigue. A nice personality in a mediterranean style.”
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2001 - 86/100
« Dark red colour. Nose of red fruit and ripe black fruit with hints of leather and liquorice. The mouth is broad, tannic and smooth with the same aromas in a pleasant length.”
• Domaine des Chanssaud Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2004 86/100
" Dark ruby colour. Nose of black berries and spicies. A wine with a solid structure, in a traditional style, combining fruity, spicy and mineral notes. A vintage to be laid down, today a bit close." |

• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2003 - 1 star*
« Between Orange and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this domaine has been in the same family for 200 years. For this appellation, 18 hectars with about 15 slots in different locations. This cuvée has aged less time ( 12 months agains 18 ) than the Cuvée “Chanssaud d’Antan” 2003. In the end, it is smoother, and harmonious. Animal style with hints of liquorice on efficient tannins. Do not open straight away.” |

• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2003 - 87-89 points
“This is a strong performance by Domaine des Chanssaud, one of many Châteauneuf-du-Pape domaines pushing the envelope of quality to higher and higher levels. The deep ruby/purple/plum-tinged 2003 Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers a sweet bouquet of candied cherries, raspberries, licorice, and earth, medium to full body, low acidity, excellent purity, and an exciting texture. Consume this openknit, broadly-flavore 2003 upon release, and over the next 10-12 years. The first luxury cuvée I have seen from this estate, the 2003 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Chanssaud d’Antan exhibits a darker ruby color as well as a bigger nose of plums, blackberries, raspberries, garrigue, and meaty/herbal notes. Long and fleshy, with great fruit, a full-bodied, opulent texture, and a layered, persistent, moderately tannic finish, this beauty should handsomely repay 2-3 years of bottle age. It will keep for 12-14 years.”
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2004 - 88-90 points
« The 2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape has sweet berry fruit, good, fresh acidity, more vibrancy than the 2003, good flesh, and plenty of spicy, herbal, earthy notes. Drink it over the next 5 years.”
• Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge “Chanssaud d’Antan” 2004 89-91 points
« The top cuvée, the 2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Chanssaud d’Antan, is a bit deeper than the regular bottling, with notes of peppery black currants and sweet cherries intermixed with spice box, incense, and earth. It is elegant, with good vibrant acidity, medium to full body, and potentially outstanding stuffing and substance. Drink it over the next decade.”

• Domaine des Chanssaud Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2005 89-92 points
Ruby-red. Bright red berry scents perked up by a hint of orange peel. Crisp, sharply focused strawberry and rhubarb flavors are elegant and precise. Finishes with fine tannins and zesty mineral tones. |
